Coding health reports

See commits, lines changed, and pull requests per contributor and repository for a GitHub organization.

The Reports page shows coding health for a GitHub organization: who committed what, in which repository, and how many pull requests closed, over a window you choose.

Before you begin

The host needs the GitHub CLI, gh, signed in with an account that can read the organization. Reports read data that Zekoder collects with that login.

Set the default organization

  1. Select Zekoder in the sidebar and open the Reports tab.
  2. Enter the GitHub organization and Days back (1 to 365).
  3. Select Save. Zekoder checks that the organization exists and that your gh login can see it.

The window ends today, in UTC, so the report includes activity up to the moment it was fetched.

Read the report

Select Reports in the sidebar.

  1. Pick the organization and window with the chips at the top: Last day, or 7, 30, 60, or 90 days. Your choice is saved.
  2. Narrow the view with From and To, a repository, a contributor, and Include bots. Reset clears them. These filters are not saved.

The page shows totals, four charts (commits per day, lines added and deleted per day, top contributors by commits, closed pull requests per repository), and sortable tables per contributor and per repository. Select a table row to filter by it.

Fetching data

The first time you open an organization, Zekoder collects its history from GitHub in the background. The page updates itself when collection finishes; large organizations take a few minutes.

After that, each time you open the report or select Reload, Zekoder fetches today and yesterday again in the background, at most once a minute. The header shows fetching latest from GitHub… until the page updates.

If the stored data does not cover your whole window, select Fetch missing days. Days already stored are skipped, except today and yesterday, which are always fetched again.

Open the full report

Select Open report to open the full HTML report in your browser. It is served from your computer only and stops five minutes after you close it.

You can also build the report from an agent with /zekoder-org-health <org> --days 30.
